11 Cases Found to Have Been Concealing their Illnesses

As the new coronavirus pneumonia outbreak grows in many countries abroad, the risk of imported cases to China is becoming increasingly serious and those concealing their illnesses may be posing the greatest threat. As of 24:00 on March 14th, China had reported a total of 111 imported confirmed cases from abroad, of which at least 11 people were found to have been hiding the fact that they were sick.

On March 10, six overseas Chinese in Lishui, Zhejiang, were diagnosed with the new coronavirus pneumonia after returning from Italy. They did not report their health status according to the regulations when they entered the country. They are suspected of violating the Criminal Law and the Law on the Prevention and Treatment of Infectious Diseases and are being investigated.
Taking medicine to hide symptoms:
On March 4, a pair of sisters and brothers who returned from Italy used drugs to reduce their fever before boarding their flight. They were later diagnosed with the new coronavirus pneumonia and have been investigated by police.
Failing to Quarantine：

On March 11th, Zhengzhou, Henan, diagnosed their first case of imported coronavirus pneumonia from overseas. The patient Guo Moupeng deliberately concealed his departure history and did not strictly implement the "isolation observation" measures. He continued to go to and from his office, which caused the risk of transmission. He is being investigated.

On March 12, the Hohhot police discovered that Zhao Sha had close contact with Guo Mengpeng when he entered by air from Turkey via Abu Dhabi on March 7. After returning, he intentionally concealed his departure history. He then freely moved around in the community and went out to eat in a restaurant. He too is being investigated.

On the 13th, the Office of the Tangshan Epidemic Prevention and Control Group issued a notice stating that deliberately concealing contact history and residence history when returning, deliberately misreporting illness or refusing to implement epidemic prevention and control measures, causing the spread of the new coronavirus or anyone who spreads danger shall be held legally responsible according to law, and shall bear all related treatment costs.
